I went from training for a 5k, to running a 15k, and now to training for a half marathon. Coach Christoph will push you to be the athlete needed to meet your goals and be there every step of the way. He reads into people’s individual needs and caters to them.

I hadn’t run since cross country in high school. I was active via weight lifting, but not cardio, and I wanted some structure to get back into it without burning out or getting hurt. I was also seeking a new physical challenge, and heard about Coach Christoph from someone who was actively working with him. I heard he had running experience, good knowledge, and a great personality that was good for coaching.
My biggest achievement has been my progress in running and learning to love it: I went from training for a 5k, to running a 15k, and now to training for a half marathon! Christoph has an encouraging personality, and is always so supportive and dedicated to helping me meet my goals in a safe, productive, and proactive manner. He is personable, supportive, and present in terms of always being available for questions and concerns.
The only thing I wish was different is that I had met him sooner so I could begin my running journey earlier. I would recommend Anchor Endurance because he will push you to be the athlete needed to meet your goals and be there every step of the way. He reads into people’s individual needs and caters to them.
When you struggle, he struggles alongside you, and when you succeed, you can tell he’s genuinely proud. I have never felt like this training has been a transaction.

I wanted to be a runner, and after several 5ks and a 15k with Coach Christoph, I can finally say that I am. A friend recommended him and I’ve never looked back. He approaches coaching with respect and genuine care, though he’ll give you a hard time if you don’t run at a “conversational pace,” whatever that means. He also takes the time to explain the science, and allows you to understand the purpose of a run.
My biggest breakthrough was my first five-mile run. It was one of the most hellish experiences I can remember, but Christoph took the time to literally run every mile with me. I’d never heard of a coach doing something like that. We knocked it out together, along with countless other runs I never thought I was capable of finishing. He was right there beside me, proving I could do it.
When you struggle, he struggles alongside you, and when you succeed, you can tell he’s genuinely proud. He pushes you beyond what you think you’re capable of without ever making you feel like you aren’t enough. I have never felt like this training was a transaction. He always expected more from me because he believed I was capable of more, even in the moments when I didn’t see it myself.
I highly recommend Anchor Endurance. Christoph will invest in you unlike any other, and he will never leave your side so long as you put in the work.
I couldn’t run more than 1.5 miles without getting winded and hurting my Achilles. Six months into coaching, I ran 8 miles at my best and my Achilles hadn’t hurt in months.

I’d just moved to South Dakota and wanted to pick up running to explore my new city, but the higher elevation made it hard to increase my distance without getting winded. I tried running 1 to 1.5 miles every day and pushing my speed, thinking that would help. Instead, it just left me more winded and gave me pain in my Achilles tendon.
I knew Christoph was coaching a friend of mine and had heard about his interest in running, so I reached out. I’d seen the progress my friend was making and knew Christoph must know what he was doing, plus I knew him to be kind and helpful, so I figured it’d be a pleasure to learn from him.
Honestly, he changed everything about how I run. I went from not being able to run more than 1.5 miles to running 8 miles at my best, in about 6 months. My breathing, form, and overall enjoyment have all improved dramatically, and my Achilles hasn’t hurt in months.
What stands out most is his accountability and flexibility. He pays close attention to my run data and holds me accountable if I’m running too fast, too infrequently, or too often. He’s also flexible when life gets busy, and works with me to build a plan that actually fits my life. He takes the time to learn what works for me specifically and what my goals are, and he explains the reasoning behind everything, which makes it so much easier to understand what I’m working on while I’m actually running.
I would absolutely recommend Coach Christoph. He’s so attentive to my data and progress that it’s genuinely encouraging to have someone this invested in my improvement. He’s also just a great person to talk to, and he’s made it easy to want to be coached by him. He has improved my running more than I ever thought possible, and I’m incredibly grateful.
